Midweek Motivational…and yay for another day off!

Aaauuuuhhhh yeah!!! Another long weekend is peeking at us from behind Wednesday’s ass. Another day off for another important reason. Workers Day. It’s actually an international holiday (which I didn’t actually know) and it only became a holiday in South Africa after our first democratic elections. It’s basically there to remind us about the struggles that we’ve also had in the past with unions and more importantly, to establish a culture of human and worker rights and to ensure that these are enshrined in international law and the national law of those countries aligned to the International Labour Organisation.

Everyone knows I’m a self confessed workaholic (I love what I do ok) but even I know what’s too much work wise and take a break must be taken in order to relax, rejuvenate and regroup mentally. So todays midweek motivational was designed to make us all remember, not only the important meaning behind May 1st but also that sitting behind a desk should NEVER be where you adult life begins and ends. Making money rocks but making memories are soooo much better, so use this upcoming public holiday to make a few more. 🙂
